Write for us

Do you want to write for us? We’re always on the look-out for new voices, with an opinion/expertise in worldwide migration, asylum, human rights, political, and social topics.

If you’re interested in contributing to ImmiNews, please send all pitches to editors@immigrationnews.co.uk.

Pitch guidelines

  1. Pitches should be as detailed as possible. We want to know about the topic you plan to discuss, so include any key points which you feel will best illustrate the piece
  2. We want to get a sense of your writing style in the pitch, so try and use this as an opportunity to show us this
  3. Give a brief outline of what you are going to do within the article — what research will you discuss, what will your key point be?
  4. Tell us why you feel you are the best person to write this piece
  5. If the piece is time-sensitive (e.g it’s about an upcoming event) please make this clear at the beginning of the pitch
  6. If you have an idea of how long the piece will be, let us know within the pitch
  7. If you have an idea of which section of the site you want the piece to be placed, let us know within the pitch

You can expect to hear back from us about whether we will be progressing your piece within 14 days.
